Going to have some folks in from out of town, tough to find a place for 8 epole with 4 kids under 9. This looked good but will the adults find the food awful? Any recos for dishes?

the menu is a bit limited and the prices are a bit high for what you get. Ditch Dogs are great, as are the nachos, but some of the more "mature" dishes are boring, at best. there's gotta be a better alternative. i might rather go to Five Napkin.

We very much liked the cheddar & jalapeno tater tots. We also liked that they give you a bowl of taffy with your check. Yum.

The "large format dinners" look great for a large family.

Actually a good place for a groups of adults and kids. The shellfish is fine, and the kids food is great. Ditch Dogs are hot dogs topped with Mac n Cheese.. perfect for a 9 year old

Yeah, the Ditch Dogs rule. I find them a -touch- undersalted, but that's easily fixed. A few shakes of hot sauce is also a nice addition.

And yes, Ditch Plains is a good place for kids, especially at earlier hours. Marc Murphy's whole "thing" is doing family-friendly restos (he also owns Landmarc)

I do know a certain 49 year old who gets them every now and then... and the jalapeno tater tots etc...

The Ditch Dogs are cumbersome... you end up with mac n cheese falling off, so don't wear a fancy shirt

Fork and knife. Even better is the Sloppy Ditch- one mac and cheese topped hot dog, one sloppy joe topped hot dog. Yum.

I've had the lobster roll, oysters, and mac & cheese (at the downtown location). They were all fine, certainly not awful. The wine prices are also very fair, which is a draw for me.
