Dinner in South Hadley?
Need a recommendation or two for restaurants in or very near to South Hadley. Any cuisine, mid-level and up.

My recommendation for fine dining in South Hadley would be to leave the town altogether. Food 101 is aptly named: the chef should go back to school. Over-inflated prices for food that at best is mediocre, and at times even falling short of that. Myself and two others have complained of serious gastric distress after consuming seafood there. Strong accusations, I do know. But one incident, possibly a fluke. Three? a pattern. The place seems to be a hit, strangely, but perhaps for people who don't know any better?
Not gonna lie though, I'm going to have to check out this Thai place. Sounds pretty good!

re: Oaksbluff
Hey Oaksbluff - just a fyi - we got some take-out at the Thai Place in Sturbridge yesterday (same owners, they have 3 or 4 locations) and it was not great. At all. Very salty overall - one spicy noodle dish almost inedible. Very scimpy on ingredients - only 2 shrimp in Pad thai, none in spicy noodles. Duck choo chee was good but salty - tod mun very rubbery, can't recommend it. Mybe that location is never good i just don't know. It's right next to Sturbridge village so maybe just a tourist spot.

We love Thai Place, on Granby Road in South Hadley. The duck choo chee is phenomenal. The strangely named Lover's Scampi is another winner. Try the Thai tea, delicate and sweet without the need of sugar.
Food 101 Bistro in the Village Commons, across from Mount Holyoke College is the spot for more upscale dining.
