Boeuf en croute sauce and vegetable suggestions

Hi,

what would be a suitable sauce to serve with Boeuf an croute? I've been thinking sauce bordelaise, or maybe a pepper-sauce. Any other suggestions?

Also, what vegetables would you serve with it? Obvious choices would be potatoes and carrots. Anything else?

    Roasted brussel sprouts can be cooked at the same time and make a pretty plating.

      Mushrooms. I hope you turn your potatoes and carrots if you're going to the effort to make this.
