Ideas for "late" themed party

So my annual Christmas party is being postponed till January this year, so wondering if there's a way I can play with this theme in the menu. So far the only thing I know I want to make is gingerbread, but otherwise, I'd love to see if there was something festive but also "overdue".

i was thinking something of a "leftovers" concept... this party is left-over...
polenta - set and broiled or fried in squares with a ragu or eggplant mushroom tapenade
    arrancini - left risotto balls
    spaghetti and meatballs sliders
    etc...

That's really cute. Lots of good options there. Reuben spring rolls, mini turkey, stuffing and cranberry sandwiches.

Both those ideas are fun...I can muse on them and maybe play with them for next year too. Thanks!

What about instead of late for the holidays you turn it into a new year party, emphasis on new? New potatoes with creme fraiche and caviar, lamb chops, devilled eggs?

How about an Alice in Wonderland Theme featuring the White Rabbit (I'm late. I'm late for a very important date). You could do the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.
