Looking for great tamales for Xmas eve, maybe Eastern SGV or Western IE. La Indiana or La Mascota used to be my go to's, but too far away now. Costco was not good enough, and Cardenas Market sold ones that were not fit for guests. I can not believe there no tamalarias in the Pomona area. TIA

Drive into East LA off the 710/60. Tamales Lilianas on Cesar Chavez.. They're about $1.35 each (as of a 6 months ago). They're fresh made, nice and moist, and generous with the meat. The masa is prepared on site I think.

If you don't mind the large size tamales, you might want to try Maria's Bakery in El Monte:

Cross-street:is Lower Azusa Rd., next to CVS.
