theatre dinner combination suggestions?

Hi all,

I am looking to take the wife out for a dinner and play in the second half of december.

Any suggestions on good plays now showing, and excellent dining nearby? Looking for fine dining, the upscale new american type food sfbay is so well known for.

East Bay or Downtown SF please, and many many thanks for your recommendations.

I'm not sure what's playing at the Berkeley Rep or Aurora, but Five and Revival are nearby, and Chez Panisse is nine blocks / half a mile away.

they have wild bride showing now, which looks pretty good! I am going to skip chez panisse this time, but those two look very good. also found Gather nearby. anyone have strong opinions among these three? we are neither vegan nor vegetarian, would gather still be interesting?

Gather's great, but the atmosphere is less fine-diney than Five or Revival.
