french toulouse sausage

Any thoughts on where to find French Toulouse sausage and/or duck sausage? We make cassoulet every Christmas and have used kielbasa successfully, but would really like to try something more authentic if we could find it. Would prefer Minneapolis or St. Paul proper, but might be willing to travel

My thought on places to check included Clancy's--other suggestions please.

We ship in duck-armagnac sausage and garlic sausage from D'Artagnan for our cassoulet.

If you want to buy local, Clancy's in Linden Hills is the place to go. Their duck sausage is quite good.

I found some at www.gourmetfoodstore.com kind of pricey $15.50 per pound.
We make our own now for the restaurant, my former boss who lived and worked in France said it was pretty close to what he ate in France.

I'd at least call Lenny over at Heartland Direct and see if they can do anything for you. He always has a cassoulet on the menu this time of year so he might have the ingredients available for sale in his marketplace.

Try Venison America in Hudson, WI.
