Laurenzo's for brunch last Sunday

Awesome brunchfor this Laurenzo's first timer.. Went on a recent Groupon certificate.. GF had the eggs benedict w/large amt of lump crab.. I had the French Dip sandwich, stacked high with their signature prime rib, sliced thin.. Had some of the best seafood gumbo as a starter.. I'll admit,, a week after a visit to New Orleans, Laurenzo's has the gumbo to beat.. chock full of seafood in a dark roux.. The bread pudding desert w/hagan das vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce was really delish! Bought a couple more groupon certificates after our meal ($25 for $50 dollars of food). Nice warm ambiance,, plasma tv's placed around the bar and open kitchen. To top it off, watched the final minutes of the Texans wins against the Bengals.. Din't realize but the Laurenzo's of Ninfa's and El Tiempo fame are related to the Mandola's. The food and service is top notch.

Has anyone tried it for Dinner? Curious how their Prime Rib and other food is.

Excellent news. What is the dress code? We go to El Tiempo because it's much more casual but have wanted to try Laurenzo's.

Casual all the way.. Could easily be confused on appearance with a high end sports bar.. Prices on premium steaks are steep.. The brunch prices, considering portion size and food quality is exceptional. I really like this restaurant..

Business casual or shorts and tennis shoes casual? It just seems like a fine dining establishment from the outside and the pics on the web site.

jeans casual is what I saw.. Not positive shorts would be appropriate tho august in Houston,, whew,, might be fine.. Call the restaurant if you need to confirm.

I believe the last time I went I wore a t-shirt and sweats. It was definitely a t-shirt, could have been jeans though. Food is always awesome.
