la sirene & La Pomedade ?
Will be in greenwich village sat xmas eve & the night before (fri). Have a reservation at La Sirene Fri eve (we're from phila so love byobs) and Ciano for sat eve. However, they are serving a limited menu xmas eve so I cancelled. I do have a reservation at La Promenade des Anglais for sat eve but am worried that the meals will be too similar both being French? Thoughts?
Would switch one night to Italian but having trouble finding a restaurant in our this price range and close to the Village with an opening. Scarpetta, Annisa , babbo all booked for both nights. Thanks!

I presume you are referring to La Promenade des Anglais? (You have time to correct the spelling as the editing window is three hours.) The menu is not strictly French but includes Italian and Mediterranean dishes as well. Delicious! I've not been to La Sirene but looking at the menu, it appears to be more traditional French compared to La Promenade's contemporary approach.
Ciano is not near the Village. A very good Italian you might want to consider is SD26, which is not far from Ciano.
