yep, Ippudo...then follow it up w/ dessert in the area (maybe at Spot on St. Marks)...or the ice cream place on 10th...

Ippudo would be the best place, it has good ramen and good atmosphere ,and for 7 you can get seated at a big table. Misoya is quiet enough to have a conversation, but it is not a party atmosphere

I'd say Ippudo, but make a day-of reservation first. I heard that if you drop in early in the day, you can make a reservation for a meal later that same day. Otherwise without a reservation, you can expect to wait 1-2 hours to be seated.

I second Ippudo. They have a few booths which looked pretty roomy otherwise they have communal-style tables where you can seat your whole party. You definitely want to make a reservation, especially for a party of 7 just to make sure.
