Decent chocolate milk in Toronto?

I drink a lot of chocolate milk and by far the best ones that I've had so far are the Organic Meadow & Harmony Organics (comes in a glass bottle). Alas, my consumption of this delicious drink is too much & these organic products are too expensive. I've tried the regular ones that Metro sells, Beatrice. All I can say is, meh.

DOes anyone have any favorite brands?

  1. Natrel all the way. Dark or regular. Taste is much better than the normal stuff but it still has quiet a bit of sugar in it.... There is a thread on it here as there was discussion when it first launched. Available at Sobeys and other fine retailers.
It was on sale originally for 2 for $3.00 but not sure what regular price is.

Typically around $3.69 or so for 1 litre.

      Soooo good.

Also, big snaps for Neilson's Ultimate Chocolate Milk, in the 1 litre plastic bottles.

Not only are they truly delish but they can be stored on a shelf (until opened), saving fridge space. These are trickier to find, I don't think Metro or Sobeys carry them. Loblaws and related stores do carry them, usually around $2.99 in Toronto.

Beatrice?! Blech. Garbage. Waste of money.

    2. Though I am not a Chocolate Milk Drinker anymore I have seen organic chocolate milk being advertised by longos under their own brand recently.

      1. I buy the Harmony stuff and just cut it with some regular 1% or 2%. Makes it a bit cheaper, and cuts down on the richness (it is 3.25%, I believe).
