Mandarin Oranges

Has anyone seen any Mandarin oranges in the Danforth- Victoria Park area in Toronto this season? I would, of course, prefer Japanese Mandarin orance, having being used to them in my childhood in Western Canada, but those are virtually impossible to get in Toronto. But I normally can find Chinese Manadarins. But this year they seem to be in very short supply. I was able to find 3 boxes at Valumart at Danforth and Woodbine yesterday, but that will only last me a week.

The boxes of Chinese Mandarins at Loblaws are actually very good this year. I also grew up out west and prefer clementines now ,but these are the best I have had since I moved here.

The real deal will be a bit pricey with the yen up. Try T&T.

Bought very good minis at T&T today - super cheap! The are bulk so you can ensure quality as the supply is hit and miss.

Is there a Loblaws in your area? I've been to two different Loblaws in the past week where they had 5lb boxes of Chinese Mandarins for sale, so I'd assume it's a corporate-wide buying decision.

I grew up in BC, and Clementines will just never make it Christmas for me. Fortunately, I'm headed home next week, where I anticipate many, many mandarins to make the season bright.
