RUB BBQ East Meadow No longer

Of course this happens, it happened with Luzzo's in westbury and now RUB. What's next, Peter Lugers in Great Neck splitting from the Brooklyn one? Singh has already showed they can't run a BBQ joint.

2367 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554

  1. Does not surprise me-went there when it first opened-not impressed.

    1. I think you have to read the article again, and maybe change your title. It is not saying that RUB is no more, it is saying that it has split from the original owner, and the pitmasters are the same.

it says its going to be Kansas City RUB, & that the spices which means recipes have changed. Lastly, they are adding cedar plank tacos and skirt steak to the menu. This is a BBQ place, not a grill. It is ridiculous, and leave it to Singh to ruin the place. It will be closed within the year, mark my words. If you don't believe me, how else have Singh managed to open and shut down a Steakhouse, a BBQ place, a seafood place, and even an Italian place(all in like a 3 year or so period) before somehow getting Paul Kirk and Company to team up to open RUB.

Ha! I stated above on Dec 13th that this restaurant would be closed within 1 year. Looks like that was way too much time. Hopefully Singh gives up this space. East Meadow can use a nice pub/beer bar. Maybe something like that can move in there. Something like The Good Life in Massapequa Park,

      2. Had i known that the Singh group was involved i would have never gone... but it all make perfect sense. They are the worst restaurant operators of all time, no really!! They have had 4 losers in that space in 3 yrs. They don't understand cuisine. Combine that with the worst managment and zero customer service and what you have is the Singh group. They could ruin a wet happy food hunting
