Listing of Paris Markets

Where can I locate a current list of markets?? Are there markets that sell items other than food? I promised my wife if she lets me browse the food markets I will take her shopping for whatever she wants!

Most markets are regular and are on a fixed timetable so the list doesn't change (so these links are good) but they won't list the one off special markets of the big food fairs for those you need to watch this board for details.

Yes a lot of markets are mixed with lots of non-food stuff. However, my guess is your wife may be looking at slightly more up-market non-food shopping...! A good (dangerous) option is the big department store "Bon Marche" it has a great food hall that you can get lost in, plus it has a very good fashion section with areas for new French designers as well as more established names. It is a lovely shop but not as expensive as it may seem - especially in the January sales.

There is an app for the IPhone and IPad called Paris Food Markets that has a list by arr. and day.

Try this (in French, but easy to understand):

Can never go wrong at Place Monge.
