I was pretty surprised to see Citronelle on there---even if it's just the lounge. Grafiato as well!

If you booked a reservation at the Lounge at Citronelle for Restaurant Week, call them to confirm your reservation. Apparently there was a mix-up with Open Table and RW reservations went into the reservation system for the main dining room at Citronelle. So just call and confirm... it will be worth not having an uncomfortable situation later.

Damn! The price has gone up again!

Looking forward to this. Thanks for the announcement. It's usually a little later in the month, isn't it?

I've made a reservation for dinner at Acadiana (recently realized I haven't been there in over a year and they usually offer their entire menu for RW) and Casa Nonna for lunch (I've been here before for RW and they do it well. Taking my coworkers this time around).

I think for 3 years running I've had 701 on my list and still haven't made it there so I might need to try to get there for RW this year.

I would like to try a new restaurant during RW, of the following, which would you recommend? So far my order of preference is:

I've only done Bibiana and Vidalia on that list. Bibiana was delicious - great food with nice balance of flavor, good setting, good service.

I really enjoyed the food at Vidalia, but the service was really careless. I just got the impression that they don't really offer the same standard to RW customers, which was disappointing.

The food at both was great, but I'd say I had a better overall experience at Bibiana.

I would go to Bibiana. I have been there twice for Restaurant Week and have had great experiences. 1789 is also a steal for RW.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience 2 years ago during RW at Vidalia. Very disappointing menu completely unrepresentative of what they usually do. Save that for their daily lunch special, which is around $19.

Is Fiola and Elisir on the RW list? Somehow I missed that.

Elyssa - Fiola and Elisir are doing lunch only.

We went to Bibiana last night and had a good meal. The first (mozzarella and beets for me and escarole salad for her) and last (semifreddo for me and winter citrus salad for her) course were the best. The pasta (bucatini for me and agnolotti for her) was good, but not great. The agnolotti was a bit better than the bucatini. A good deal though: both meals and a bottle of wine for ~$105 (before tax(?)/tip).

While I love Dino, they do great weeknight deals all year long, so RW doesn't add much to the picture. But they also do RW all month, so there's no need to push to get there during RW when the crowds are overwhelming.

This year, I'm doing Ris and Bibiana.

DanielK I've done both for RW and those 1 restaurants do it particularly well.

I have reservations at Acadiana and Casa Nonna.

i would say 1789 hands down...but it's probably too late! We are going to Occidental...i think that is a really underrated place with great food, good service and a nice atmosphere. Their RW week offerings are always really good....choice of meat, seafood, chicken, etc and the apps are really inventive. Desserts are luscious!

I cancelled my 1789 reservation for Friday last Thursday. Which is to say there may be others cancelling at a late date. I have reservations for the Lounge at Citronelle tonight and Rasika Thursday night. Hope you get a good reservation!

Any reports on Charlie Palmer's for restaurant week? I made a lunch reservation for tomorrow. The menu is small, but it looks very good. Also, it seems Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie decided to eat there for restaurant week (after I made my reservation) although I'm not sure if that is an endorsement or not...

I did CP for RW years ago, when Voltaggio was still cooking there! It was a great meal then, but mostly for the non-steak dishes. They're not going to be able to offer a reasonable-sized portion of steak with a 3-course meal for $35.

Today I had a good RW lunch at Mio with brother Orson W. There was a choice of three apps, three entrees, and two desserts. Overall, good flavors and portions. Will go back to explore more of the menu.

Any lunchtime winners around penn quarter/metro center for a spontaneous lunch (in the lounge area) today?

I have done and enjoyed the bar lunch a few times at Fiola. I will continue going there when I need a nice lunch
