Slaw Dogs and Mamma's Brick Oven Pizza

WildSwede Dec 8, 2011 04:10 PM

I noticed that a new Slaw Dogs (at least a sign that said "The Slaw Dogs" was on the building) is going to be on Huntington and Buena Vista (on the NE corner in the same center that currently has a Big Lots and a future home of the 99 Cents Store). Paper still covering the windows. Looks like they also have a location in Woodland Hills.

Also, I noticed that a Mamma's Brick Oven Pizza (it is affiliated with the South Pas pizza place) is going to be housed in the old Burger King location on Rosemead, just south of Del Mar. After doing a search, I realized that SoCal Foodie noted this in an August post. He said it would open in September, but it did not seem open when I drove by.

The Duarte location of Slaw Dogs has been in the works for a while. Jennifer (Ray's mom) said they'd encountered many obstacles from the city of Duarte, so it is taking a long time.

Thanks for the update. Today, I noticed that the restaurant on Walnut/Oakland in Pasadena, that used to be Amy's, will soon be another Lucky Boy's.

I saw that in Brigham Yen's bog:

Looking forward to that! It's much closer to me than the Arroyo Pkwy location. I'm not sure that's entirely a good thing.
