Potato Kugel in the crockpot - by itself - for Shabbos lunch instructions needed (1 more time)

I have an extra crockpot (4 quarts). Do i just follow my regular recipe?

here is the link to the original thread - http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/814544 - the recipes seemed pretty close to a regular kugel recipe

Looks like the sides are crisping nicely!

Ditto on Weinstein's yum. So what recipe did you use? Please write after Shabbos & let us know how it was on Shabbos.

So it was crispy/burnt on the sides and bottom (not the top), and mushy on the inside, so I just served it in a bowl... and people ate it.

I think I will reduce the salt nice time:

              4 large potatoes grated,
              3 eggs
1 tsp salt (will reduce to 1/2)
              1/4 cup oil
              1 cup hot water

I put my oven at 350 and put the crockpout liner in with the oil.

I mixed all the other ingredients, took the crock out and put about half the oil in the potato mixture and then dumped it back into the crock.

High for 1 hour (maybe 2?). And then I put on low.

I think I put it up at 11 am.

I won't lie and I won't be ashamed.... I davened for my kugel when I lit candles Friday night.

Maybe it was me, and maybe it was the Ribono Shel Olam, but the kugel came out
              okay.

                  It was UWSFoodie's post. http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/8145...

I modified it for half the recipe (sort of

                  )

Yes, it was completely mushy in the middle

Mine was also mushy in the middle. I'm on a mission to perfect my technique though because my husband and sons loved it. Let's all keep at it and post back again in the future!
