Shake Shack December 2011 Flavors - Any Must-Haves?

This set of threads may be dying, but I thought it would be worth rounding out the year:

Monday: Egg Nog
Tuesday: Figgy Pudding
Wednesday: Christmas Cookie
Thursday: Chocolate Orange Chestnut
Friday: Gingerbread
Saturday: Candy Cane Crunch
Sunday: Apple Spice Cake

I'm intrigued by Tuesday and Thursday. I've had the Egg Nog and found the nutmeg in it overly aggressive.

    Has anyone tried the Candy Cane Crunch or Spiced Apple Cider? Those are the only two that sound interesting to me.

      Candy Cane Crunch sounds vaguely appealing, but I've been disappointed by Shake Shack custard a few times now so I probably won't seek it out. Plus Trader Joe's Peppermint Joe-Joe's ice cream should show up any day soon, if it hasn't already :)

        omg, I had no idea TJ's had that flavor! I love their Joe-Joe's and was disappointed that they don't seem to stock them this year. I did buy the chocolate-covered versions, just to try them. The ginger ones are tasty. I imagine the peppermint ones will be fine, but the chocolate and the peanut butter ones were eh. The pumpkin ice cream they sold around Thanksgiving was delicious. I will definitely keep my eye out for peppermint Joe-Joe's ice cream!

        Edit: uwsister -- are you sure they are selling Peppermint Joe-Joe's ice cream this year? I don't recall seeing it advertised in their recent flyer.

          I thought chocolate-covered Candy Cane Joe-Joe's were delicious! Honestly I'm not sure if they have the ice cream this year. They definitely did last year and the supply lasted well into March, if I remember correctly. I'll be at TJ's in a couple days, so I'll let you know if I spot it.

            I was just at the UWS TJ's this afternoon and saw not only the plain (i.e., not chocolate-covered) peppermint Joe-Joe's but also Peppermint Joe-Joe's ice cream!! It was in the freezer section on the lower-level, right next to the other ice creams.

            I also saw lemon-ginger ice cream, or something like that. I'd love a review, if anyone's had it.

      Glad you started the December thread. I passed by Shake Shack the other day, and saw the new list of flavors (none of which are appealing to me), and I realized that no one had started the December thread.

        Yes, even if we don't like the flavors, I think these discussions are interesting. For the record, here's what the December 2010 flavors were:

        Monday: Egg Nog
        Tuesday: Figgy Pudding
        Wednesday: Panettone
        Thursday: Chocolate Orange Chestnut Swirl
        Friday: Candy Cane Crunch
        Saturday: Gingerbread
        Sunday: Spiced Apple Cider

        Almost exactly the same as this year.
