best price for spanish ham or prosciutto downtown?

I'm doing some last minute shopping for a party today- any tips on where to buy well-priced spanish ham or prosciutto below 14th street? Thanks for any tips!

I wound up going to Whole Foods in the interest of time. It was $21.99 a lb for prosciutto di parma. Not bad.

Russo's in the East Village, 12th St just off 1st, near Veniero's.

You're welcome. BTW I made a mistake: Russo's is on 11th Street. I like them, and they also have very good mozzarella.

DiPalo, maybe, for the best price on prosciutto? I'm guessing Despana and Murray's will be pricier.

Same question as OP. Any other ideas in the event DiPaolo's line is out the door? I go to Alleva for mozz but never got ham there, also what about places inside Essex Market?

          thanks for input
