Modern Cookie Co. (Larkspur)

Modern Cookie Co. in Larkspur opened a few days ago. It's a bake-to-order cookie shop. Here's an article about it: http://tinyurl.com/86jtnfc I stopped in today and had one of their Molten Chocolate cookies, no add-ins, $2. After about five minutes, they brought it out of the kitchen to me on a small plate complete with paper napkin and fork. I needed the fork because it was so fresh and loaded with soft chocolate that it didn't work by hand. The flavor was excellent, rich, dark chocolate. I don't know how it could have been much better. Small for $2? It seemed so, but for the quality maybe that's what you have to charge. Anyway, quality cookies straight from the oven.

Closed a year ago. Same owner opened Farm House Local in that location.

I trust that this was an excellent cookie but I like a cookie because it's a cookie, not a process. I'm sort of immediately put off the same way sex suddenly becomes alien when it involves too much dialogue and too many props. It looks like it's a sizable space too, not just a 4-walled kiosk. I'm curious to see how business fares.

The space has been the home f numerous cafes over the years.

Me too. I was there just as the local high school students started arriving. They flooded the place a bit later which has to be good for business. Also moms with smaller children; kids art on the walls and crayons and paper on tables in one area. Nice outside patio.

If you want to compare a cookie and sex then I would conclude they are both better when hot.
