Breakfast/Early Lunch in Garden District?

Hi -
Looking for a great weekday breakfast and/or early lunch spot in the Garden District. Typical NoLa fare, not fine dining preferred. Can be a dive.
Walking distance to Philip st preferred.
THANK YOU!

Joey K's on Magazine opens at 11 for lunch and sounds like it fits the bill of what you're looking for. Not as close to Philip Street as, say, Stein's, but just about a block or two up from Washington, so since it's not 90 degrees in August I'd say it's walking distance.

Blue Plate, Surrey's, Coquette (for lunch), and Cafe Atchafalya (also for lunch), Stein's on Magazine (great bagels, sandwhiches)

Trolley Stop is the choice for all the local police officers. That means something. Enjoy your visit.

        Trolley Stop Cafe @ 1923 Saint Charles Avenue, New Orleans, LA 504 - 523 - 0090.

Surrey's would be perfect for this, depending where on Philip St. you're walking from. It's about 10 blocks from Magazine and Philip.
