Mi Kfecito Cuban on Research and Ohlen
Man, I drove by this place several times before I found it. It's on the north access of 183 just as you make the turn around heading back to Taco Cabana (those of you in the area will get the goofy directions).
They have better signage up now, but at the time you'd sware you were going into a beauty parlor.
Anyway, place is clean and service is super-friendly. I got a ropa vieja sandwich to go (less than $6!) and it was humongous, the meat was mild, yet the comforting mess I always remember it being. Toasted flattish bread held up well to the stewy/saucy meat. It was just like a hug from your "slightly tipsy" aunt Marcy, only in a good way.

Mi Kfecito is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The interior is surprisingly nice given the surroundings. Don't let the attached beauty parlor through you off.
When I was there last week for lunch, their normal extensive menu was not to be found. Instead they had about 10 dishes and said their menu was being reworked.
Everything I've had has been good but the sandwich was a bit ordinary--my favorite Cuban in town remains at Al Sur practically across the street.
