Indian or Japanese or spicy Chinese for lunch near MOMA?

I'm catching a movie at MOMA on Wed. and have about an hour before for lunch. My schedule is a bit tight so I'm looking for a place within a few blocks of MOMA. My preference would be for spicy Chinese or a good Japanese soup (but unfortunately the preference would be for it without noodles so ramens are not the best idea) or Indian food, in that order. Any suggestions?

If you're looking for something really fast and VERY spicy, try the Halal Guys street cart on the southeast corner of 53rd and 6th. Their red sauce is incendiary.

Otherwise, the closest Sichuan to you is probably Wu Liang Ye on 48th or Szechuan Gourmet on 56th.

That sounds great although I might want a sitdown place. The two Chinese sound good and I'll just have to figure out if they're going to be close enough for me.

Thanks! These are exciting suggestions that I will also store up for future occasions!
