Kroger coffees

I'm floored by the spike in prices for national brand coffees recently. So when I had to purchase more coffee, I opted for a can of Kroger French Roast. My first cup using this blend was w-e-a-k. I thought I'd made a mistake in the time I allowed for perc, so didn't give it much concern.

But now, after scores of cups from this tin, and certainty of the time allowed for brewing, I'm positive I'm drinking something other than French Roast. This isn't my first experience buying and drinking Kroger coffee. But it is the strangest.

Any other 'hounds find "flaws" with Kroger coffee recently?

I just checked...it's definitely Colombian, medium dark. Good luck!

I'm actually a really big fan of Kroger coffee, which surprised me when I first started drinking it. When I get home I'll check the can...I think we have the Colombian, which is medium-dark. I find the strength is just right for me.
