Where to find Pinnekjøtt?
Would like to prepare traditional Christmas meal for my Norwegian son-in-law. Where can I obtain the "stick meat" needed? Anyone have recipe? I know to serve with potatoes and rutabagas mashed together.

I'd give Nordic House a call. If it's available in the US they will probably have it.

My mom was Norwegian; she used to make this...she would brine the lamb herself. Nordic House may very well have this, a great suggestion.
Lucky you didn't ask about Lutefisk, although I know for a fact they have that!!! Nasty, horrific stuff lutefisk! Yuck! My mother made it at Christmas time when my Grandmother was around because Grandma loved it so much. Dried cod, reconstituted in lye, then boiled until it has the consistency of jello, served with lots of cream sauce... lol!
