Tell me where to eat near MGM!
Hi,
My husband and I are going to Vegas for the first time next weekend. We are seeing Mystere at MGM at 9:30 and want a recommendation of somewhere nice eat near MGM before that. Our budget would probably be around $250 for the two of us.
Also, how necessary and how early are reservations needed?
thanks in advance!

In MGM, Fiamma's has great fresh pastas. The short rib raviolini. the veal cheek ravioli and the liguine with spot prawns I will personally vouch for. Also, the dessert "donut holes" are a tasty finish.
Get to KA AT LEAST 15 minutes before show time. Things start happening before the formal start of the program. The stage cost $168 MILLION. Enjoy the show. (Been 3X)
My wife and I were at Le'Atlier once watching a couple slam down some food and drink to get to KA on time. What a shame. Give yourself enough time to enjoy the theatre and your food!

I was just there last week and ate twice at Charlie Palmer steak at the Four Seasons, which is a little to the south of MGM. I was very favorably impressed. The cut of the week is a fantastic value. Service is awesome. My sister and I had an app each, plus the cut of the week which has a salad, rib eye, and creme brulee with "bottomless pours" of really top notch wines, and came out right at your price point, tip included. If you're steak people at all, it's a great choice.

Mystere plays at Treasure Island, not MGM which is at the other end of the strip. Are you seeing KA at MGM (a cirque show) or Mystere?

You're in luck because MGM has a good restaurant lineup. So what kind of cuisine do you enjoy? Nobhill Tavern has a good contemporary american general menu and would fit your budget. Shibuya is a sushi restaurant and it's also excellent. I'm tempted to recommend l'atelier joel robuchon, but budget wise that might be tight.
