I have a friend who can't chew solid food and needs delicious cream soups. Those without stuff in them but taste great because of all the butter and cream. This will be a long standing problem and I'm looking for a much variety as possible. Thanks

I don't know where you live but give Gio Cucina in Encino a call, They always have a number of fresh soups on the menu. They are not all made with cream but they are very good.

fish king has a lobster bisque and i don't think there's much solid meat in there. the clam chowder is great but it has potatoes & clam - perhaps you can buy it and pick it out. auntie ems in eagle rock has soups except on weekends. i'm sure you can call ahead and see what the daily specials are. they're really good and from what i remember have that creamy this isn't going to help me lose weight feeling to it. i had the pumpkin chipotle last year and it was great-- just make sure to ask for it without the toasted pumpkin seeds on top. also, cacao in eagle rock has soups as well. i think they had a butternut squash that was pretty good and didn't have anything in it.
