New Orleans FIsh House in Picayune, MS
We happened on this place during our travels over Thanksgiving week and had an awesome meal. They are master fryers. Everything we tried was perfectly crisp and greaseless with a super tasty breading: Catfish, oysters, shrimp and pickles. We also had a couple dozen raw gulf oysters which were delicious. Great with cold beer. Apparently they do $6 dozens on either Tues. or Wed. but we were there on a Saturday, so they were a little more. Our 3 year old daughter loved her crab and corn soup, but we weren't wasting precious stomach space with that. It's a pretty non-descript place. We probably wouldn't have stopped there if we weren't told about it by some people who live in Slidell, LA. They also have a retail counter with fresh seafood.
