New to San Francisco, needing a few things

Hello, as the topic heading suggests, we just moved here this fall and are still getting our bearings. A couple of things we'd like to find would be:

Grocery sugar-free frozen yogurt - this is really common elsewhere and even outside the country, but for some reason I can't find it in the grocery stores in my area (Civic center). I'm used to having half a gallon of sugar free low fat vanilla froyo in the fridge rather than relying on kiosk-bought yogurt like Yogen Fruz all the time. I'd be willing to make the trek to find a source.

Milkfish - Just wondering if there's a seafood market that sells milkfish whole or filleted?

Elle et Vire dairy products - My preferred generic brand for butter, but I've not seen it since I moved here and wonder if any specialty stores carry it.

I'll add to this post as I go along and remember what else we need. Thank you kindly.

  1. Here's an old link about butters with an email address for Elle et Vire which was not available in 2008 but might be now.
Also here is an older butter tasting showing what was available in the bay area.
    Milkfish lead.

Thank you kindly. I'm surprised Elle et Vire's expanded to many other countries but seems content not to here. I much prefer their lighter, airier mouthfeel and smooth delicate taste to Lurpak's stuff. Will give the above brands a try.

I also found the thread on President butter and am glad to see they stock it at the Rainbow Coop. I'm a fan of their 2% milk and will likely pick their butter up if I can't get my hands on Elle et Vire.
