Best milk?
Hey Hounds,
Not too long ago I had some raw milk on a farm in MA. It was heartbreakingly delicious and made me realize that I'd never had real milk before. I know that raw milk can't be sold legally here... but does anyone have a favorite brand or purveyor of milk? I'm craving some really good stuff. Thanks!

I like the milk from Tonje's: a little more flavorful than Milk Thistle (which is also very good - and which you can buy in stores, including WholeFoods). Tonje's is at the Union Square farmers' market on Saturdays.

Milk Thistle is the closest I've found.
Hudson Valley Fresh is good too, but it's a more mild taste, and closer to standard New York milk. I still prefer it to Ronnybrook, and some of the others.
If you keep your eye out, some of the smaller artisanal markets are stocking dairy from some farms that aren't readily seen. Brooklyn has a number of these places.
