Food before Chinglish

We are going to see Chinglish this Saturday night and thought
Chinese dinner before would be a nice thematic touch.
Any Chinese restaurant recommendations, in or near the theater district (though not
Sezchuan)?
You hounds have all been so helpful in the past.
Many thanks!

I saw Chinglish a few weeks ago with some co-workers... it was hysterical! Spot-on characterizations.
Our pre-theater meal consisted of beer and wings at Social on 48th and 8th, just a block from the theater. I know it isn't a Chinese meal, but somehow it was very fitting.
Enjoy the play... if you've ever done business in China, you will love it.

Peking Duck House is good, or Szechuan Gourmet are good choices

How about Hunan food? Hunan Manor gets good reviews here:

That being said, Sichuan food is really awesome in NYC these days. Legend, Cafe China, Lan Sheng, Szechuan Gourmet, Grand Sichuan are all solid, and many are an easy walk/cab/subway ride over to the theater district.

How about La Caridad on the UWS 78/Bway-Chinese run by waiters who speak Chinese and English as well as Spanish! Keep the theme going all night long!! Easy subway ride down to theater district after. And altho a hole in the wall sort of place, I love the food!!
