One week in Austin
As far as Brisket BBQ goes, and it is a must, wait in line at Franklin's for lunch during the middle of the week. And, eat Lamberts BBQ too. I prefer to eat upstairs in their bar. Has a bar menu, but you can order off main menu as well. The super cheesy Mac n' Cheese is a must!
I just had my first dinner at Wink, and it will not be my last. Rezzies for sure as it is a small space. Portions are a bit on the small side, but quality and presentation were impeccable. Beer and wine only.
I'm also a fan of Kerby Lane Cafe (several locations). Hippie-kinda vibe (normal for Austin?) with plenty of stuff for the veggie crowd.
At the top of the list if I am in town on Sunday is the brunch buffet at Fonda San Miguel. Off the charts Central/Regional Mex in a gorgeous space.
