GE Monogram
2 years ago we did a complete kitchen renovation. When it came to ranges, I wanted a 46" duel fuel range with 2 ovens and 6 burners. I decided on a Wolf but was talked into the monogram and decided that it had the beautiful blue finish inside the ovens and I really liked that the oven racks pulled all the way out. I was a crazy person keeping it clean and looking new. A month ago I did the self clean, which I do every 3 months on both ovens and the finish on the small oven blistered and blue flecks were everywhere in the oven. I called GE & a repairman came out and said it could not b repaired. The GE customer relation rep. Said that it was cosmetic and they would not do anything. After only 2 yrs for this range to have a defective finish is unbelievable after all this range was almost $9 grand. So I would say buy the Wolf stay far away from GE!!!

It's funny how we all end up being a product of our experieinces. Some people like this brand and others hate it, not just GE, any brand. We bought a GE refrigerator many years ago and it seemed like everything on it was plastic and broken within just a few years. When we moved we left it behind. The house we moved into had some GE appliances and we seemed to have a fair amount of trouble with them as well, so we replaced some of them with other brands that we had had better luck with. Now we are replacing all the appliances in our kitchen and from the very start GE was off the table because of the experiences we had years ago. We have had good luck with two Kitchenaid dishwashers in two different houses and we are getting a new Kitchenaid dishwasher and electric wall oven and speed oven. The other appliances are Electralux Icon, no experience either way on these but I have my fingers crossed that you can't really mess up a gass range top. I'm sure there will be GE lovers that have had years of excellent service from their Monogram appliances that will come to their defence, but that just goes to show that everyone has different experiences and different points of reference.
