San Francisco in Manhattan?

William68 Dec 1, 2011 08:36 AM

I've been to San Francisco and the surrounding area a number of times and love the small restaurants that provide excellent New American food at reasonable prices. It seems difficult to find in Manhattan. I'm thinking something like Mas (farmhouse) but less expensive. Any suggestions?

Check out Northern Spy Food Co. Farm-to-table, New American restaurant opened by a San Francisco transplant. I think it fits the bill pretty well.

I find that Mas (Farmhouse) is an excellent value for the quality of food, atmosphere, and service that they provide. It's going to be hard to top Mas unless you are looking for more casual (not white tablecloth) options?

Back Forty is a good option.

Also ABC Kitchen, although not sure if you'd consider it reasonably priced.
