Help with lunch suggestions

Headed to NY Tuesday to see Rockefeller Center, Christmas windows, shopping etc. Would love a lunch reservation that is a good overall experience(great food,service and ambience) but doesn't cost over $50/person.

    Assuming your $50pp is for food only, one of my favorites in the area is Bar Room at the Modern. Sleek, modern atmosphere, Alsatian small plates, right next to the Museum of Modern Art.

    You may also wish to consider the newly revamped Monkey Bar if you can go a little bit over $50. Chef Damon Wise is formerly of Craft, the cocktails are done by Julie Reiner (Clover Club, Flatiron Lounge, Lani Kai), the wine by Belinda Chang (formerly of the Modern), and The Spotted Pig's Ken Friedman is a partner now.

      Seasonal. Great food. Can be quiet, though. If you plan to walk uptown on 5th Ave, the window displays will stop at 59th Street. Seasonal is on 58th, just a bit west.
