Has anyone visited St. Tropez Bistro lately? Not sure why I haven't noticed it before, on previous trips to Saskatoon. http://www.sainttropezbistro.ca/

Truffles and Bliss are our two favourites in Saskatoon. We just ate at Truffles last weekend again and were blown away by the service and fantastic food. If you go and like duck, I highly recommend it.
There is no good Italian in Saskatoon as far as I know.

Thanks chefathome. I have been to Truffles, and I like it, but I've never tried Bliss. Which restaurant would you expect to be more quiet on a Tue, Wed or Thu night around 7 pm?

re: prima
I would say Bliss but keep in mind that it is an open space so if there is a loud dinner party the noise would carry all over. That happened to me once. However, I really enjoy Bliss so it has not prevented me from returning. Bliss is a bit more casual than Truffles but the food is also very good, as is the service.

re: chefathome
Bliss was perfect. It was fairly quiet on a Tuesday night. I loved their soup of the day, a spicy tomato seafood and barley soup. The salmon was delicious. I'll definitely return to Bliss on my next trip to Saskatoon.
I also enjoyed a rhubarb butter tart at Calories. We had no service issues on this visit. Our server was friendly and competent.
The Truffles salad and the yam/potato gnocchi with chanterelles at Truffles were delicious. Decadent Cafe Brulot Tart.
I'm not eating beef these days, so I ordered the crab-stuffed Steelhead trout at Carver's, which was fine, although I'd order something else on my next visit. Very generous bistro salad. The tableside-made Caesar looked good. Very good service at Carver's.

I wondered about The Willows dining room. Have you been? It appears to be refurbished and Italian Bistro in style,

re: ingloriouseater
Hi ingloriouseater... re: Carver's- I realize there's a Carver's in the Sheraton Cavalier in Saskatoon, and another at the Sheraton Cavalier in Calgary. Even though I've visited Calgary and Saskatoon a number of times, I've never dined at Carver's. Is it around the same quality level as Hy's or Caesar's? Or closer to the Keg?
