Frenchie Help

Hi Chowhounders,

I'm going to Paris this February (the 2nd-4th) and already have great reservations lined up for Friday and Saturday-- Passage 53 and L'Agape Substance. (Very much looking forward to those.) I'm really hoping to go to Frenchie though on Thursday, Feb. 2, hopefully with a 10 pm reservation.

My hotel in Paris is telling me that they've tried to called Frenchie repeatedly and are unable to get through. Does anyone have any suggestions on securing a reservation there? I would try to call myself, but I don't speak French-- I was unsure if that would be an issue.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Angie

  1. Try calling around 3-5pm Paris time. That's what we did when we were in Paris last Feb. Your inability to speak French shouldn't be a problem. All of the staff spoke English very well. Hope you get to go, it was wonderful.

    1. Ninaswu is correct--another vote for that answer. The 3 to 5 window is the best time. Just keep trying. The staff is great and the effort you put into getting that reso will not be wasted. The meal we had at Frenchie was fantastic and we cannot wait to get back there next year!
