Lunch at FLL airport or near Boca Raton Resort & Club

I'm headed to the Boca Raton Resort & Club for a work event next week. I'll have 1 free meal (lunch on Monday) and am looking for reccommendations either in the Ft. Lauderdale airport or within walking distance of the resort. I will not have a car, so it needs to be in these 2 specific areas. I'll be eating at the resort all week, so prefer to dine off-site for this one meal. No restrictions on price or cuisine - just tell me what's nearby and tasty!

I live and work in Boca. Took my family (wife and two college age boys) to dinner last week. Excellent Chinese, and not to far from the Boca resort.

For Thai, also near Palmetto Park, is Lemongrass Restaurant.

And from fll, you do need to take a cab. There are many restaurants along the 17 street causeway. Not far from fll. I like Market 17. The culinary school of the Fort Lauderdale Art Imstitute has also a restaurant with excellent reputation (I've never tried it).

Unfortunately, there isn't much that is within a short walk from the resort.

Is fairly walkable from the resort. Just south of Camino on Federal Highway.

You might want to consider Mizner Park and the surrounding area. I believe the resort has a shuttle that runs to Mizner Park. If you search this board for Mizner Park you should find tons of reveiew and reccomendations.

I would assume that since you are there on business you probably won't be dining at the upscale venues in the resort rather you will be eating more convention-like food. Therefore, you have a wonderful opportunity to dine at one of the best Asian restaurants in South Florida - Morimoto!! Masaharu Morimoto of Iron Chef fame (and several restaurants around the country) is worth the time and money spent. Exquistiely prepared sushi as well as other delectable Japanese dishes.

I doubt Mr. Morimoto would be pleased to know his staff served sushi with bones in it on my visit.

Saporissimo may be your best bet within walking distance of the resort.

I wish I could try it, but I'm currently pregnant so sushi is out. I guess I should have specified that in the original post.
