Chinese, Korean or Thai round table

leyb Nov 29, 2011 11:08 AM

Hi! Can anyone recommend a moderately priced place with good Chinese, Korean or Thai food? By moderately priced I mean something with entrees that are < $20. There's one big catch... it needs to be a place with large round tables that will seat 12 people. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

I forgot to include the area! Anywhere that's relatively close to College and Spadina would be great :)

There are a few options on Spadina south of college. Skip the Thai restaurants - they are on the grungy side. The Korean restaurants do not usually have large round tables. I like Seor Ok San, you can call to see if they can arrange it.

For Chinese, the one closest to College is E Pan, then New Sky, Xam Yu, Lee Garden, and Taste of China. Lee Garden is a bit westernized, not sure how authentic you want the food. You should make reservation in advance for any of these.

I don't know if they do or not - we don't go there because it's a bit too westernized for us. But with a table for 12 they may.

We love Lee Garden and they do take reservations. Must say though that we've still had to wait for tables to be freed up sometimes. Getting around the ridiculous lineups is my only complaint about this place. Btw, for what we normally order, we find the food more than sufficiently "authentic". (More importantly, we find the food to be consistently delicious.)
