Nice, quiet place for dinner

I am new to the area and I am looking for a nice quiet, darker restaurant to take my husband to for a romantic dinner. Any where in the twin cities area would be great.Thanks for all of the help..

I think La Belle Vie has the most romantic dining room in the Twin Cities. For dark and quiet, it is very hard to compete with Sapor. Barbette is also up there on the romance scale.

A table by the window at Cafe Lurcat is one of my favorites. It's nice to look out over Loring Park.

can't beat muffuletta in St. Anthony village this time of year with the trees decorated etc - not too large very darkish - friendly staff - try to reserve a window to the right of the door as you enter - get there early and they have special on house wine - which will also give you time to stroll the village - McCawber's books is a must stop in

Cave Vin is very good if you like French. Butcher Block is a nice choice for Italian. Both are dark and quiet.

Jax Cafe over NE Mpls. Not your loud downtown crowd nice and mello and great intimate setting!
