Where can I get live crab in San Francisco?

Chowhounds!
I've lived in the bay area for a few years off and on but now I'm finally living in the city of San Francisco. Where can I get live (cheap) crab in SF? I've gotten crab from Ranch 99 in Richmond in the past and my sister was able to get some off the boats somewhere in the East Bay but I don't know where. I don't mind buying from the East Bay, but I'd be a lot happier if I could find a place that didn't involve crossing a bridge. Now that the negotiations are done, I'm dying for fresh crab! Can you help me out?

The last time I bought a live crab, it was from Dodwell at 435 4th St. In Oakland. You don't have to cross a bridge — you can take BART, which runs under the bay.

      What if you have subhydrophobia?

There are a couple of fish markets on Clement Street that will likely now be carrying live crabs. They are both on the south side of the street. One is between 9th & 10th Avenues and the other is around 4th Avenue.

A Chinese friend recently failed in her quest to find local crab, including in Chinatown in SF. Does anyone know for sure where it is available in SF or Marin?.

Give the boats a chance to return to the docks then they'll probably be everywhere.

Did the fishermen and the buyers agree on a price?

Yes. Some places should have crab tomorrow and it should be all over the place Thursday.

Thanks for the responses but I guess I needed to clarify my original question. I wasn't looking for crab TODAY, I know the fishermen just went out. I'm just trying to figure out where in SF I can try calling this or next weekend for prices and availability. =) Thanks to DavidT who understood my poorly worded question.

I typically get mine at New May Wah on Clement. There is another Chinese seafood market on the same side of the street about another block east that takes cash only and is sometimes more competative.

There is a place on the corner of fifth and clement that has live crabs. Can't remember the name though. The price is reasonable.

In the Mission, we get them live from Sun Fat.
