Vegetarian in St. Maarten - Advice?

I don't eat fish, but eat eggs and dairy. Will I have to survive on spaghetti and pizza in St. Maarten? Many places in the Carribean are focused strongly on meat and fish. Are there alternatives?

You might try the local Indian restaurants on the island. In Phillipsburg, Anand on front and back street also Skieka's Bistro, #50 Back Street, has vegetarian dishes on their lunch menu and several fruit and vegetable juices to drink. If you go to the Locherie Farms for ziplining and other activities, they have a cafe there that serves locally grown vegetables and fruits and othe rhealth oriented dishes. Over in Simpson's Bay is Lal's, a very nice Indian restaurant with a good selection of Belgian brews. In Grand Case, L'Etage, across fromt he little air strip, fixes gourmet oriented vegtarian appetizers. Not sure on full meals. Several of the other finer restaurants in Grand Case have herb infused risottos and vegetable dishes worth trying. I'm sure there are places that have vegetarian dishes in or near the marketplace in Marigot. Nice to walk around, especially on Wednesdays when the spice and herb vendors are there.
