Michelin Stars for 2012
http://www.gourmandbreaks.com/blog/sp...
I can't say I was suprised that Can Fabes lost a star to fall to 2 - I ate there In October and while great, I don't think it measured up to Arzak/El Cellar de Can Roca/Sant Pau which are the other 3s I have dined at. What I am suprised about is that Mugaritz continues to sit at 2 stars. That was the best meal of my trip - maybe too out there in some courses to be considered for the 3rd star, but I would no argument if they were granted it. I also thought Tickets deserved a star but I wonder if it had been open long enought to be considered.

Mramage,
This list is a bit misleading. It gives the names of existing 2 star Michelins but NOT existing 1 star Michelins, therefore it's not complete.
I was looking on the list when I suddenly realized that Barcelona favourites like Cinc Sentits, Alkimia, and Gaig etc are all missing! There are about 19 1 star Michelins in Barcelona alone.

I guess it's all subjective. I ate at Can Fabes, El Celler de can Roca and Sant Pau in October too and preferred Can Fabes to the other two. I had the Santi Santamaria tribute menu and thought El Celler was a very close second food wise, although it is a more impressive setting. I liked Tickets too and preferred the food to Sant Pau.
