Looking for a fantastic 50th birthday lunch/brunch venue

My mentor and good friend is turning 50 next month and I want to plan a lunch/brunch for about 10 of her closest friends. I'm looking for something upscale with great food and fantastic cocktails. A view would be a plus or something with fun holiday decorations! Does anyone have a recommendation for a great venue? Thanks in advance for your ideas!

How about Palisade down at Elliott Bay Marina? They have a fantastic view, great food and the waitstaff is very attentive. I have had dinner there several times and have witnessed large parties there being handled just fine. It's one of those restaurants that doesn't feel like a restaurant. The ambience is great. Have a wonderful time!

What about the Fairmount Hotel - if it is before Christmas it will be all decorated up nice.

Ponti has that enviable ship canal view and brunch (well, they used to - it looks like lunch in December.)
