Slivovitz in and around Boston

I have been looking to buy some Slivovitz and I have only a found a very small number of stores that know what I am talking about when I ask let alone carry it. Many sales people seem to confuse plum liqueurs and brandies so I am dubious to trek out to any of them. Are there any stores that carry more than one type?

I haven't actually looked for it, but I'd bet that the Russian stores in the area that carry liquor would have some. Bazaar on Beacon has booze, and I believe Berezka on Comm Ave does also.

I'm not sure about Berezka, but Bazaar on Cambridge Street in Allston definitely also sells liquor. (However, I haven't specifically looked for slivovitz either.)

Bazaar on Beacon definitely has slivovitz. I actually feel like most places I look have some, though the only place I can think of right now where I know for sure that I bought one and there was more than one option is Blanchards in Allston. (In luckier states, TJ's also sells it! but I think the only one they carry regularly is Zwack)

my grandfather used to make it in his basement but, since he's gone, whenever I have a desire to set someone on fire I buy it at Bazaar.

I've seen it at University Wine near Porter Sq. but it's been a while since I've been in there so not sure if they still have any. Also, I think it was only one kind that they had in stock.

I know Ball Square Liquors on B'way in Somerville carries Luxardo Slivovitz.

I can tell you with confidence that Martignetti's in Brighton carries at least one brand. Might be Navip?

Yes, Martignetti's carries that particular form of fruit-based lighter fluid. I know because I physically shudder every time I see it, based on a bad experience in high school.
