Bacon Syrup

Torani now carries a new Bacon flavoured syrup. Need I say more?

Haha. I saw that Gourmet Warehouse a few months ago. I think it means that bacon has jumped the shark for sure.

I was saying today to a veg friend (who thinks of bacon as candy!) that I consider it a food group of its own, but I would draw the line at bacon-flavoured coffee. Feh.

Was thinking more of mixing it with sortilege...or mixing it with whipped cream or maple syrup for waffles, or as an ingredient for a sauce for bread pudding...or as part of salad dressing for an apple sharp cheddar spinach salad ...or part of glaze for chicken wings...or to help caramelize roasted squash...the shark has jumped and I am taken it as far as I can!

I spotted this Bacon product/condiment a few weeks ago, Baconnaise. What I don't get is, if you're going to combine Bacon and Mayo, why bother with a light version.
