need quick recommendation of saturday night bite and good coffee in cedarhurst area
What a zoo. All I can say is...yeesh. Sabra's was always my go-to place as a teen and it seems that there is no grown-up option. Off the wall looked hip. Turned out to be just fro-yo with music that was too loud for our middle aged ears. Ruthies was way too packed and didn't even feel like the Ruthies of my memory. Sunflower and coffee bar were too far down the road. Ended up in Cucumber which was pretty boring and not that clean. Got a tuna sandwich. At least the baguette was fresh. Then off to La Chocolat where we had a good Belgian waffle made on a rather dirty looking waffle iron by a very polite young woman, good coffee and excellent chocolate. The expectations of the Cedarhurst crowd are pretty low. They had better choices twenty years ago. I wonder what happened. More is less.
