How are the cocktails at Bisto du Midi?

Haven't been in for drinks in a while, but I'd call the staff well-meaning if not particularly well-trained. I've had to explain to them how to make certain basic drinks that any serious craft bartender would know backwards and forwards.
And I agree that the specialty cocktail list is like many in town, dominated by too-sweet concoctions.
