Nellie's Deli -- Sarasota (Terrible)

The worst sandwich I had in years. It should of been called a bread sandwich, because I almost could not find the meat......Like 5-slices of very thin salami between two pieces of bread. Disgraceful. Sorry I went there....'

Has anyone tried Michelles Brown Bag? I read a nice review about her sandwiches. Although, now that I think about it I read a couple of positive reviews of Nellie's also!

Pastrami shop off Clark not great but much, much better than Nellie's. In fact no comparison.

Gone, went by there yesterday the store is empty . I had a feeling that it wouldn't last.

Funny--I had the same feeling last year when I went there for lunch, and felt it would only take a little time for its demise.....I think his intentions were good, his product was acceptable, but his business sense was lacking a great deal.
He needed to offer something that was not available elsewhere, such as a bowl of pickles on each table. After all, he was in the rear and needed to draw people, which he had no idea how to do..........

Totally agree, and those were the exact sentiments of others that went there. People that go into any business for the first time really need to get a lot of advice before they invest time and money into a business, which obviously he didn't. Location was not ideal either.
How about joining us at OLL on the 17th of Dec. to meet the other CH from the Sarasota area???? I would love to meet you.
