Staub sale at SLT
I know that the Staub posts are seemingly endless, but I wanted to share that Sur La Table has a nice sale on the fumee and la mer colors (about $150 for 6 qt) AND on a what I think is a new design of a 12" roasting dish (uncovered) in a bunch of colors with a magnetic trivet ($79). At least, those were the choices at my local SLT. I'm incredibly excited to have found my first piece (pieces) of Staub... it's been a long wait. I'd love to hear your favorite use for a 6 qt coq au vin...

So glad I came across this thread. I knew WS was having a cookware sale but didn't occur to me until I read this that a Staub would be a great gift for my mom's upcoming birthday.** Loved the sapphire blue at WS & $105 including tax w/ free shipping can't be beat!!!
dd's bday yesterday, sis' tomorrow & mom's next week...oy.

I just used my 6-qt. coq au vin this weekend to make a killer beer-braised chicken with bacon. My other favorite use thus far is for a Tuscan pork roast (Mary Ann Esposito's Pork Loin with Rosemary and Wine) Gio posted last year. It goes without saying it makes a fine oven for no-knead bread as well!
I like the roasting dish with trivet! Very nice idea...geez, like I need more to add to my kitchen wishlist! ;)

re: kattyeyes
This looks like a great deal for a first Staub AND W-S is having a 25% off cookware sale through Sunday!

I just learned of another Staub sale today. 4qt + 4 minis for $130. I own the 5qt but would love the minis.

re: NYChristopher
Those are ceramic minis, not cast iron... in case you were wondering.
Might as well just get the set of 3 cast iron minis at $75 (25% off $100) from WS.
